1948 Jaguar Mk IV 3 position 3 1/2 drop head coupe, Serial Number 637160, Grey metallic with red leather and rugs, black hood/soft top, left hand drive, 3 1/2 litre in-line 6 cylinder engine with two Solex carburetors, floor mounted 4 speed manual gearbox, as per the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate on file, our fabulous 3 position Mk IV was completed at the factory on May 21st, 1948 and dispatched to USA importer, Max Hoffman, of New York, New York, the Mk IV would go on to live in the States for decades, ending up back in the UK 10 or so years ago and where it would undergo an impressive top-to-bottom restoration, now back in the States just a few years ago, the Mk IV has seen little use since restoration completion and presents superbly in all respects today, the 3 position soft top of course so very cool, practical too, but there are so, so many more unique styling treatments to catch one’s eye – from the hand crank adjustable windscreen, ornately finished boot/trunk area with boot lid enclosed tool chest, each handle and latch throughout unique one to the next, hand crank adjustable driver’s seat lift, and even the perfectly matched wood grain from the glove boxes to the dash fascia – all make for a most magnificent presentation, our Mk IV the absolute ideal event car – imagine, an open and closed car with ample room – and is worldwide event eligible.
