1959 Bentley S1 Continental Flying Spur “Four Light” 4 door saloon, Serial Number BC41LFM, Engine Number BC40F, 4.9 litre in-line 6 cylinder engine with two S.U. carburetors, 4 speed automatic transmission, power assisted steering, all alloy Continental coachwork by H. J. Mulliner, completed at the Factory in March of 1959 and sailed to New York on Cunard Line’s Alsatia, featured at the 1959 New York Auto Show, subsequently sold new to a Manhattanite through venerable Bentley dealer, J.S. Inskip, the Flying Spur then finding its way back to Europe where it would be well looked after, more recently by marque specialist Padgett Motor Engineers, by and by arriving back in the States in 2015, matching numbers throughout, this striking S1 Continental Flying Spur is one of just three aluminum bodied, original left hand drive Four Light examples built.
