1964 Ferrari 250 LM Scaglietti berlinetta, S/N 5899, Engine Number 5899, Rosso Cina with panno blu, delivered new July 1964 to Swiss racing team Scuderia Filipinetti and winning its very first race August 1964 at the Sierre-Montana Crans Hillclimb, 3.3 litre V12 engine, 5 speed gear box, Scaglietti alloy coachwork, extensively raced throughout the 1960s with nearly three dozen races, resulting in 5899 experiencing the obligatory racing “incidents,” (read, crashes,) all now neatly tidied up and restored with the Ferrari Factory’s full Red Book Classiche certification with correct re-body, original engine and original chassis, Swiss owned into the 1980s and then again in the 2000s, now coming to market out of a noted USA Ferrari collection.
