Zsa Zsa Gabor!  This siren was a gal pal of Porfirio Rubirosa, the first owner of this fantastic Series I Mondial spyder with Pinin Farina covered headlight coachwork.  So the story goes, while in the pits at Santa Barbara in 1954, Zsa Zsa became miffed that the stunning Mondial was stealing her thunder.  Rubi, ever the gentleman, sold the Mondial to John von Neumann immediately after the race.  von Neumann would go on to race the Mondial on a great many occasions throughout California, with Phil Hill, Richie Ginther and Bill Pringle getting seat time as well.  Now on offer out of our Newport Beach showroom, PF Mondial Serial Number 0438 MD has been factory restored and Red Book Classiche Certified, with a correct Lampredi 2.0 litre engine as made by Classiche to replace the original long since expired in the heat of racing battle.  0438 has accumulated many awards and Platinums in recent years, culminating in a Class Win at the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.  Prettier than Zsa Zsa???  They thought so back in the pits at Santa Barbara, we still concur today.
