1965 Ferrari 275 GTB short nose
1965 Ferrari 275 GTB short nose, Serial Number 07855, Engine Number 07855 with numero interno 702/64, Colombo designed 3.3 litre V12 engine with three Weber carburetors, 5 speed gearbox, steel coachwork built by Carrozzeria Scaglietti and penned by Pinin Farina, the first series of 275 GTB and one of 225 or so short nose built and the very first Ferrari model to incorporate a transaxle, completed at the factory September 1965 and delivered new November 1965 by USA Ferrari distributor Luigi Chinetti Motors, 07855 finding its way back to Europe in the 1980s, fully refurbished in the 2005 period by noted Italian Ferrari workshops – Bacchelli & Villa for body and paint, Fratelli Luppi for interior, now back in the States after many years in a noted EU collection and having been color changed to Nero for the most recent owner, shown without bumpers for a super-clean look – the bumpers are present, 07855 matching numbers throughout, documented by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini and, Ferrari Factory Red Book Classiche Certified.
