The very finest driving Series Landy we’ve had, our Poppy Red IIa 88 fully sorted by and formerly the personal property of legendary Series restorer, Lanny Clark of Vermont. Our inside headlight 88 is fitted with the workhorse engine of the day, the 2.25 litre 4 cylinder gasoline engine, mated to a 4 speed gearbox. Poppy is an original North American Specification example delivered new to British Leyland of Jacksonville, Florida and wears completely original sheet metal throughout, all sitting atop a rock solid original chassis. The Lanny Clark recent freshening includes: engine rebuild, brake system overhaul, electronic ignition, new soft top and seats and, for ease of shifting a new SIII full syncro gear box with overdrive.
