1974 450SEL 116 chassis sedan colored in DB862 Stone Pine Green with 266 green leather interior and just 55,500 miles from new. As with other Mercedes chassis, the W116 was offered with several engine choices throughout its eight year production run from 1972 – 1980. This 116 is powered by the M117 4.5 litre gas engine putting out about 200hp, mated to a three speed automatic transmission. Our 450 is outfitted with air conditioning, power windows, power sliding steel sunroof, disc brakes at all four corners and the customary Becker Grand Prix radio. Delivered new in Southern California, our Stone Pine Green long wheel base SEL would live in those sunny climes for over four decades until going to a mutual friend and then into our stock. The 450SEL is accompanied by an extensive history file dating back to brand new and includes a wonderful assortment of original items including all owner’s manuals, original maintenance booklet, the original metal service plate, data card, dealership pre-delivery inspection sheet, and more.
