1985 Ferrari 288 GTO, Serial Number ZFFPA16B000055227, Pininfarina designed Group B supercar, Rosso Corsa with black leather, 2.8 litre twin turbo V8 engine, 5 speed gear box, optioned with air conditioning and power windows, delivered new April 1, 1985 via Symbol Car S.p.A. of Torino, Italy and would go on to live in Italy until going to the UK in 2008 where 55227 was road registered using license plate 288 GMO, comprehensively serviced by UK Ferrari specialists, DK Engineering, 2012 participant in Ferrari Tribute to the Mille Miglia tour through Italy and where it would visit the Ferrari Factory nearly 3 decades after original manufacture, in 2013 we imported the GTO to the States where it would reside in a blue chip European car collection and using the more appropriate registration of GTO 288, extensive and regular servicing performed while here in the States by marque experts, Ken McCay’s Boston Sportscar, in late 2019 55227 would go back to the EU into our longtime client’s stylish private collection, and where the GTO accrued some 1,000 kilometers, until coming back to the States in late 2020 into the very same collection where it had resided since 2013, fresh major servicing including bell housing re-lining at Tommy Passalaqua’s P1 Motorcars, still retaining its original kilometer odometer, complete with owner’s manuals and pouch, fully documented by noted Swiss Ferrari historian, Marcel Massini, Ferrari Factory Red Book Classiche Certified.
