1986 Land Rover Defender 110 Pickup truck
1986 Land Rover Defender 110 Pickup, S/N SALLDHAC7AA262988, Red with black interior. 2.5 litre diesel with a 5-speed transmission. Right hand drive. Served as a firetruck for Appleby Village in Northwestern England. While is still retains the Cumbria County crests on the doors and rooftop mounted spotlight, its Godiva PTO water pump and fire ancillaries have been long removed. It has been retired from duty but it still has only covered 7,700 miles in its 33 years. After a couple decades of fire service, it has resided in the USA as a truck of leisure. “Appleby” drives wonderfully, has a pure patina and turns more heads than a new $150,000 Range Rover or anything else on the road. It comes with a canvas soft top and an aluminum hard top to cover its bed but it looks best with the open bed and tailgate exposed…the top edge of the bed is shoulder high! If you have a vineyard, ranch, farm or frequent the shopping mall, this is the “Vintage” Rover for you. (This truck is not legal on CA roads)
